Rich Campbell is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins. He was born on December 21, 1958 in Miami, Florida. Campbell attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a three-year starter at quarterback. He was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He played for the Packers from 1981 to 1984, the San Francisco 49ers from 1985 to 1987, and the Washington Redskins from 1988 to 1989. Campbell was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1983 and 1984. He was also named the NFL's Most Improved Player in 1983. He retired from the NFL in 1989 with 11,715 passing yards, 68 touchdowns, and 81 interceptions.
